Payne County CASA
CASA for Kids, Inc. is dedicated to improving the lives of the children in the Oklahoma foster care system in Payne, Logan, and Kay Counties. Our specially trained volunteers strive to become a positive, stable influence for children while ensuring they have a voice in the courts and the services they need for a stable future.
Payne County Youth Services
Payne County Youth Services was established to provide programming for children, youth and families. Originally mandated to provide counseling in schools and establish an emergency youth shelter, PCYS has grown to be a respected and well-known resource for children, youth and families focusing on the Payne, Noble, and Pawnee Counties, and serving across the state of Oklahoma.
Cimarron Valley Humane Society
CVHS is a no kill-limited intake animal rescue. We solely rely on foster homes and donations in order to save homeless or in need animals. CVHS is based in Cushing, Oklahoma but the majority of our foster homes are currently in Stillwater.
The Saville Center
The Saville Center for Child Advocacy is a safe, child-friendly facility where forensic interviews, medical evaluations, mental health services and referrals are provided to children involved in abuse investigations. The Saville Center for Child Advocacy offers a soothing, calming atmosphere, in a building specially designed to lessen a child’s fears.
United Way of Oklahoma
United Way of Central Oklahoma values health, education, financial stability and quality of life. We believe these core elements are critical to our success as individuals, as families and as a community. In order to achieve our vision of a stronger, healthier and more compassionate community, we are working to provide access to these essentials to all people in central Oklahoma through our Five Focus Areas: Strong Families, Successful Kids, Healthy Citizens, Independent Living and Community Preparedness.
Stillwater Noon Lions Club
The members of the Stillwater Noon Lions have provided countless hours of service to the Stillwater area. Through the years we have participated in and funded a number of projects. Currently, we serve Stillwater in a number of ways, free eyeglasses and exams for Stillwater residents in need, accepting used eyeglasses, Our Daily Bread Food Resource Center, free health screenings, academic scholarships (Lincoln Academy, Meridian Technology, Optometry School at Northeastern State University and Southwestern Oklahoma State University), free Lions Kidsight school children vision screening, Pioneer Pantry, Stillwater Pumpkin Patch, Salvation Army, Lions Meadows of Hope Foster Care Community.
Stillwater Museum & Historical Society
Changing exhibits and engaging museum programs bring visitors back again and again. The Stillwater History Museum is an Oklahoma History Gateway partner.
Located in a historic setting, the Stillwater History Museum is on the lower level of the Sheerar Cultural and Heritage Center. The historic building was originally constructed in 1928 to house the First Church of Christ, Scientist, the first such congregation west of the Mississippi River.
